Question by Cazz: Oakley Half X problem, Need advise. As well as other Oakleys.? Ok I just purchased Oakley Half X Polarized sunglasses from the internet. They do not fit my face. To the point where I cant wear them as they rub into my temples and completely stretch out the frame. I want a X Metal frame Oakley but I don't want to make the same mistake again. The store I bought it from will require a 40% restocking fee plus shipping costs to return it so I guess i will have to resell them to make up for the loss. I have a large sized head I usually take 8 1/4th fitted hats. I'm currently in Law Enforcement and really need a good pair of Oakleys. I currently own the Radars and those are nice but I am looking for something abit different or more casual looking. What about the Flak Jacket XJs? Are these suited for larger framed heads as well? Thanks again all in advance. Best answer:

The Flak Jacket XLJ's can be for larger sized heads, but they're not as big as the Radars. The earstems are straighter than the rounded ones you find on the Radars. They're closer to the straight-stem Radars if you've seen those (but the Flak XLJ lenses provide smaller coverage than the Radar Path). A big plus of all the Flak Jackets is that they have the hydrophobic lenses like the Radars do. You could probably unload the Half X that you purchased on eBay if you've kept them in decent condition (and maybe even if you haven't). It would probably be good to try things on firsthand somewhere to be sure, but yes, the Flak XLJ would be something to be looking at.

What do you think? Answer below!
